Kid Champs forms (ages 5–7)
These are Kid Champ ranks and stripes, not the Junior/Teen/Adult rank system.

Levels and testing
- Beginner: white and yellow.
- Intermediate: orange through blue/black.
- Advanced: green through red/black.
- Pre-black belt: the three brown stages.
Testing happens in cycles of about three months for Kid Champs and the earlier ranks, and about six months for the brown stages. These are assessment cycles, not promised promotion dates. Instructors decide placement and promotion.
Moving from Kid Champs to Juniors
Kid Champ color ranks count as half-ranks in the Junior system. Two completed Kid Champ color ranks make one full rank, and a student moves up at the last fully completed full rank. For example, through orange converts to Junior yellow, through purple still converts to Junior yellow, and through blue converts to Junior orange. Staff confirm each student's placement.
